Please be informed that review of the closure documentation for the above-referenced facility has been completed. The closure was completed in exemplary fashion, and documentation of the closure by Solutions Recovery International was excellent.View More The following documents were reviewed for the closure of this facility: Facility Closure Plan (February – August 2010) Facility Closure Notification Form (20 July 2010) Acid Waste Neutralization System Closure Plan Change (26 March 2010) Post Facility Closure Report (September 2010) 2009 Hazardous Materials Business Plan In addition, a closure inspection of the facility was completed on September 2, 2010, in order to verify that hazardous materials and associated signage and labeling had been removed according to the closure plan. It was revealed during the inspection that there were placards and labels remaining throughout the facility, as well as a remaining drum and baker tank that were still to be removed from the site. Written confirmation that these remaining issues had been completed was received with the Post Facility Closure Report, which provided photo documentation of the remaining activities in question. The post-closure report verified that all closure activities had been completed according to plan, with necessary modifications clearly identified and documented. Modifications included in-place closure of wastewater lines in the clean room and production areas, floor scaling, and soil sampling changes. In each case, modifications were done only after contacting this office, clearly explaining the issue, and obtaining pre-approval. All testing, such as wipe samples and soil sampling were clearly identified and documented in the post-closure report, and copies of all analyses were included. Permit copies, manifests, boring logs, closure correspondence, photos and other supporting documentation were provided in the post-closure report.
